Home 01 & Home 02 · through September 19

North Carolina began in two Raleigh-area homes. At the first, I was grieving, learning to rest, and making photographs for myself again. At the second, I found new things to try and more confidence in my work.

These two stories cover August 23 through September 19, 2026. The Durham stay and later North Carolina returns are separate parts of State 01.

“Rylee was an exemplary pet and housesitter. Our senior dog took a turn for the worse while we were gone and had to be euthanized. She handled this tragic, worst case scenario, with compassion and grace. She took Wile E to our vet who called us in Egypt to help us make the difficult decision. I cannot recommend Rylee highly enough to take care of your home and pets.”
